The Ten Pin Tap started out at 1101 Rhomberg Avenue in the late 1950s before relocating just down the street to 601 Rhomberg, where it stayed on Dubuque city directories from 1962 all the way through 1983. True to its bowling-alley name, the bar doubled as a beer distributor for the neighborhood, the kind of dual-purpose tavern that made a Rhomberg Avenue address synonymous with pins, pitchers, and a good time.
