Moracco Supper Club Throwback T-Shirt
The Moracco Supper Club Throwback T-Shirt features a design found only at Dubuque Clothing Co., printed on a premium tee with soft, high-quality inks built to last.
The building on Rockdale Road opened in 1938 as the Morocco tavern under John G. Jungwirth, survived a 1950 fire, and reopened in 1953 as a car dealership before Armin 'Butch' and Genevieve 'Whitey' Herbst converted it into a restaurant -- adding an extra 'a' to the name since the previous owners wouldn't part with the original spelling. As 'Dubuque's Newest Nite Club,' the Moracco reopened in 1958, and the Hillary and Heiar families carried it forward for decades after, earning the Iowa Restaurant Association's Restaurateurs of the Year award in 2006.
