The Chateau Supper Club Vintage T-Shirt features a design found only at Dubuque Clothing Co., printed on a premium tee with soft, high-quality inks built to last.
Anton 'Tony' Van Driel opened Chateau Antone back in 1937 just outside the Dubuque city line on Sageville Road, a spot chosen partly because it sat beyond local law enforcement's easy reach. Bob and Helen Timmerman bought it in 1944, renamed it simply 'The Chateau,' and expanded it into a 170-seat destination, and Lloyd 'Lefty' and Esther Dalsing later grew it into an upscale supper club with an attached motel. The Chateau survived fires in both 1962 and 1972, rebuilding each time, before finally closing its doors in 1992.
