Dolter's Fast-Food Drive-In Throwback T-Shirt
Dolter’s Drive‑In was Dubuque’s first fast‑food drive‑in, a true local landmark with roots going back to 1947. It began as the Quonset Drive‑Inn at 3265 Central Ave, created by Ray and Eunice Dolter after returning from Milwaukee. When frozen custard didn’t catch on locally, they shifted to ice cream and eventually expanded into burgers, fries, and onion rings.
