The 9 Mile Island Vintage T-Shirt features a design found only at Dubuque Clothing Co., printed on a premium tee with soft, high-quality inks built to last.
Nine-Mile Island sits about two miles long and half a mile wide in the Mississippi River between Dubuque and Bellevue, taking its name from its position nine river miles below Eagle Point -- it was originally called Shinkles Island. Back in 1885, the island was the site of a dramatic steamboat race between the Dan Thayer and the Clyde, and today the undeveloped, roadless island -- home to Green Lake and stretches of dense forest -- remains a favorite quiet spot for local boaters and picnickers.
