This design is one-of-a-kind and found only at Dubuque Clothing Co. — the Eagle Point Park, Dubuque, Iowa Fleece Hoodie 2 wraps “Eagle Point Park” around a detailed eagle in flight, printed in a muted, vintage-style ink on a soft fleece hoodie built for cool nights on the bluff.
The idea for Eagle Point Park dates back to 1907, when visiting planner Charles Mulford Robinson urged the city to preserve the bluff above the river, and the park opened in 1909. A few years later the Union Electric Company ran a streetcar line right up to the entrance, where the turnaround and waiting station once stood near today’s eagle statue and flower beds. In 1950 the riverwalk was added, giving visitors one of the best views of the Mississippi anywhere in the Midwest. Today the park covers more than 160 acres and remains the crown of Dubuque’s park system — a place generations of locals have gone to watch the barges pass through the lock and dam below.
