This design is one-of-a-kind and found only at Dubuque Clothing Co. — the Fleur De Lis, Dubuque, Iowa Fleece Hoodie features the red fleur-de-lis and “Dubuque” banner made famous by the city’s hometown meatpacker, printed on a soft fleece hoodie with high-quality inks built to last.
For more than a century, that fleur-de-lis meant Dubuque. It was the trademark of the Dubuque Packing Company, known around town simply as “The Pack,” which operated under one name or another from 1891 to 2001. Under Harry Wahlert, the company grew from a small regional packer into a national and international supplier, and by the mid-1950s it employed more than 3,000 people — making it one of the city’s biggest employers. Plenty of Dubuque families have a parent or grandparent who worked at The Pack, and that red logo showed up on everything from bacon and ham to the famous Plumpers hot dogs. Wear a piece of Dubuque’s working history.
