This design is one-of-a-kind and found only at Dubuque Clothing Co. — the Old Timer's Athletic and Country Club Vintage T-Shirt is printed on a premium tee using high-quality, soft inks built to last as long as the memories.
Old Timer's Athletic and Country Club opened its doors in 1948 with sports at the heart of everything it did — it was even the very first business in Dubuque to own a black-and-white television, a novelty that pulled in sports fans from all over town. The club was owned and run by Arthur Pins, with his wife Marg working as the cook, and Art kept a strict house rule against swearing at the bar — repeat offenders were shown the door. Since liquor sales by the drink were actually illegal in Iowa until 1963, Old Timer's got around the law the same way many similar spots did, operating as a members-only Key Club instead of a straightforward bar. The business carried on until 1975, two years after Marg's death, when Art finally closed what had by then become known as Old Timer's Supper Club, and the Elks Club purchased the building.
