The VOTE REPUBLICAN Throwback Vintage T-Shirt features a design created exclusively for Dubuque Clothing Co., printed on a premium tee with soft, high-quality inks built to last.
The Republican Party's elephant symbol traces to an 1874 Harper's Weekly cartoon by Thomas Nast called "The Third-Term Panic," which showed an elephant labeled "the Republican vote" standing at the edge of a pit. Nast kept using the image throughout the decade, and by 1880 other cartoonists had picked it up too, cementing the elephant as the party's lasting emblem.
